The contemporary style restaurant 'Joost' is situated in Hotel Vondel, where you can enjoy the beautiful paintings of Peter Keizer. Here we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In the hotel bar, guests can do business or relax in a comfortable way. This is the ideal place for a cup of coffee, a snack or a drink.

When the weather is good our city garden is open for lunch, drinks and dinner!

Room information

Vondel Loft Suite
This suite is recently renovated and has capacity for four persons. The loft consists of two bedrooms each one floor. Both rooms have their own bathroom. The room on the lowest floor has a bath tub and a walk-in rain shower. The bathroom on the top floor has a walk-in rain shower. The lowest floor has also a big living room and a kitchen. Of course are the rooms equipped with luxurious facilities like flat screens, iPod docking stations and Nespresso machine.

Family Suite
The Vondel Family Suite offers 2 bedrooms with a connecting door. The children’s room has a bunk bed with separate flat screen TV’s, mini bar and its own bathroom with a shower. The parents’ room is a large executive room which offers a comfortable sitting area, a working desk and a spacious bathroom with bathtub.

Some rooms are equipped with air conditioning (subject to availability).

Area information

Hotel Vondel is located in the centre of Amsterdam close to the Museums square (Rijksmuseum van Van Gogh museum), the Leidseplein with a huge variety of restaurants, bars and cafes. The Vondelpark and the major shopping streets are also in close vicinity.

friendly and competent staff

room smaller than expected especially after being told we were getting one of the "larger" doubles! Very difficult for lady to use hairdryer and mirror at same time!

Nice and cozy interior design, good location 10 min. walking from city centre, very nice and clean bathroom/shower

rooms are a bit too noisy (hallway and street), breakfast overpriced, no early check-in, room a bit small (even big double room!)

Hotel staff were courtious and efficient.

When we arrived we were upgraded to an executive room. This room happened to be the only room on the ground floor adjecent to the hotel lobby and wedged between the baggage room and a lift. It was also on the corridor to the stairs. The room was very noisy not only due to noises from the lobby but also from the street could be heard all night as peoplepassed right below window.
